I have just made some family history progress regarding my husband's mother's Mackey family tonight - they were descended from William MacKey and Honor[a] Ryan who were born and died in Co. Kilkenny, who appear to have been the couple of the same name who were married at Johns Well, Co. Kilkenny on 15 Feb 1817, parish of St Johns. They were the parents of Thomas Mackey (baptised St John's parish, Co. Kilkenny, residence "Well", in 1823, who married a Bridget Remilton in Co. Kilkenny before emigrating to Australia on the "Monsoon" in 1854.helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16220295656007598220noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-541636168042744225.post-48466879662193411392013-09-16T22:24:19.743-07:002013-09-16T22:24:19.743-07:00Very nicely put. Don't know what happened to them during the Famine but two sons and a daughter migrated to Australia and settled in Sydney.
